Howard W. Wolfe, age 76 of Troy, passed away Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Upper Valley Medical Center. He was born December 25, 1940 in Piqua to the late Homer and Wilma (Owen) Wolfe.

Howard married Ruth Ann (Selhorst) Wolfe on April 11, 1964 and she survives. Also surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law: Thomas and Heidi Wolfe of Troy, and Christopher and Cynthia Wolfe of Louisville, KY; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister Phyllis DaPore of Piqua; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Herbert William and Grace Wolfe of CA, and Willard and Lola Wolfe of NM.  He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Howard was a Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War, having served a total of 22 years. He graduated from Troy High School, and was a member of Ginghamsburg United Methodist Church. He was a civil service employee with WPAFB for 17 years. Howard enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, making candles, and reading.

A funeral service will be held 1:30PM Monday, April 10, 2017 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy with Lay Pastor Sue Meckstroth officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00PM-1:30PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Piqua with Military Honors by the Veteran’s Memorial Honor Guard of Troy. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
