Sammy Rae Bercot, age 61 of Troy, passed away Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.  He was born February 20, 1956 in Galion, Ohio to the late Paul Bercot and Jacqueline Clark Godfrey of Troy and she survives.

Sammy is also survived by two daughters, Angela (Brian) Miller of Vandalia and Michele Horne (Eric Overholser) of Tipp City; one stepson, Brian Eastman of Marysville; former wife, Leatha Bercot of Troy; two brothers, Donald Bercot of Coshocton and David (Linda) Godfrey of Troy; two sisters, Sherry Wilder of Alabama and Brenda Francis of Texas; eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one stepson, Michael Eastman; one brother, Paul Bercot, Jr.; and one sister, Carolyn Bercot.        

Sammy was an auto mechanic who enjoyed fishing and mushroom hunting.
