Twilla J. Rihm, age 72 of Troy, passed away Friday, June 16, 2017 in the Hospice Unit of Upper Valley Medical Center. She was born December 18, 1944 in Ft. Wayne, IN to Glen L. Lingo and Helen M. (Nine) Heiman.

Twilla married Edward J. Rihm on August 30, 1980 and he survives. She is also survived by her mother Helen Heiman of Troy; two sons and daughters-in-law: Todd and Johna Painter of West Milton, and Troy and Tracy Painter of Webb City, MO; four daughters and sons-in-law: Trisha Painter of Troy; Traci and Mike Smedley of Sidney, Dannielle and Joshua Chattin of Murfreesboro, TN, and Stacey Rihm of Murfreesboro, TN; 13 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law Harold and Joyce Lingo of St. Paris; and sister Lucinda Pilkins of Erlanger, KY.

She was preceded in death by her father Glen Lingo; two daughters: Tammi Painter and Amy Rihm; and sister Glenda Darbig.

Twilla graduated from Parkwood High School in Joplin, MO.  She enjoyed ceramics and spending time with her family. She was a member of American Legion Post #586, Tipp City. Twilla worked previously as an Activities Director at Springmeade Health Center, Tipp City and retired as an Activities Director at Brookdale Assisted Living, Troy.

A funeral service will be held 7:00PM Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy with Pastor Jason Arnold officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00PM-7:00PM at the funeral home prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be given to: Ohio Hospice of Miami County, PO Box 502, Troy, OH 45373. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
