Wilbert J. "Sonny" Warner, age 76 of Piqua, passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2017 in Oklahoma City, OK. He was born July 26, 1940 in Eagletown, OK to the late Elmus and Lurena (Lewis) Warner.

Wilbert is survived by his wife Alice Faye (Johnson) Warner of Troy; son Michael Warner of Troy; three sisters: Elmerine Laird of Oklahoma City, OK, Elma Jane Kennon of Oklahoma City, OK, and Ida Mae Trass of Oklahoma City, OK; and two brothers and sister-in-law: Martin and Toni Warner of Dallas, GA, and Charles King of Oklahoma City, OK.

He was preceded in death by son Anthony Wayne Field; three brothers: Ivory Joe Warner, Robbie Jean Warner, and Arthaniel Warner; and three sisters: Ola Burris, Ellana Warner, and Rendy Warner

Wilbert graduated from Dunbar High School in Broken Bow, OK and retired as a Machinist from Container Corp. in Piqua, after 30 years of service. He was a member of Miami Fish and Game Club and Union Lodge #18 F&AM, Troy.

A funeral service will be held 11AM Friday, January 20, 2017 at Transformed Life Church, Piqua with Dr. Gene B. Moore, Jr. officiating. Visitation will be from 10AM-11AM at the church prior to the service. A Masonic Service will be held at 10:45AM at the church. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Troy. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
