David James “Dave” Iddings, age 68 of Troy, passed away Sunday, December 15, 2019. He was born October 18, 1951 in Troy to the late Willard and Frieda (Davidson) Iddings.
Dave is survived by his wife Phyllis (Brown) Iddings; son Troy Iddings (Misty) of Piqua; daughters Lori Younce (Jon) of Troy, Melissa Mitchell (Tony) of Christiansburg, and Christine Price (David) of Piqua; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; two brothers: Terry Iddings (Debbie) of Troy and Norman Iddings of West Milton; and sister Kimberly Anderson of Troy.
He was preceded in death by his brother Gary Iddings and son Chuck Williams.
Dave was a graduate of Troy High School and was a member of Troy Eagles #971. Dave was a drummer for 45 years, having played with bands “Hidden Assets”, “Prairie Fire”, and “Cotton Mouth”. He was a retired construction worker for Kessler Construction.
A visitation will be held from 4:00PM-6:00PM Thursday, December 19, 2019 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy. A memorial service will follow at 6:00PM with Simon Young and Harve Bowman officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Hospice of Miami County.
