Harris Foster Neal, Sr.

Harris Foster Neal, Sr. 70 of Troy, OH passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 due to heart complications. He was born Thursday, May 12, 1949 in Louisville, KY to the late Roberta Foster Neal and Daniel Irving Neal.

Harris leaves to cherish his memories: Loving wife, Stephanie Quisenberry; daughter Lisa Alonna Neal; son, Harris Foster Neal, II. Sisters: Danell Olivia Neal Pack; Margaret Williamson; Benetta Law (James); Harriet L. Marshall (Eric). Brothers: William B. Foster, Jr.; Allen J. Foster (Cheryl); Rodney B. Freeman (Regina); and Harry “June Bug” Freeman. Grandchildren: Clarence William DeVere Highsmith; Naz Neal, Mykel Neal, Zion Neal, Nemo Neal, Ishmael Neal, Sulu Neal and E-Bo Neal; Step-Children: Donna Chavis; Melissa Chavis; Doug Chavis (Alycia); Dominic Hughes (Angie); Amy Chavis; and Derek Chavis; Step-Grandchildren: Carmen Kalimullah; Kurtis Johnson; and Stephanie Chavis: Step-Great Grandchildren: Emani “Princess” Kalimullah; Tariq Kalimullah, Jr.; Nadiya Kalimullah; Amina Kalimullah and a host of nieces and nephews.

 Harris was preceded in death by his parents, Roberta Foster Neal and Daniel Irving Neal; sister, Mona Joyce Freeman and brother, David A. Foster.

 Harris was a graduate of Hughes High School in Cincinnati, Ohio.  He attended college at University of Cincinnati majoring in Communications.

 Harris was employed at Cincinnati Gas & Electric Company as a “Certified Electrician.” He also worked at Panasonic, Miller Brewing Company and HH Gregg before retiring.

 Harris was a devoted member of Zion Baptist Church in Troy, Ohio.  He loved Jazz music, bowling, fishing and deer hunting. He was very kind hearted and generous. He will be truly missed.

 Memorial Services will be held 11:00AM Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Zion Baptist Church 711 W. Franklin St., Troy, OH.
