Janet Louise Fox, age 83 of Troy, passed away Friday, April 6, 2018 at Caldwell House. She was born April 15, 1934 in Piqua to the late Louis and Oneida (Weaver) Kerrigan.
Janet is survived by her three daughters: Georgia (Mike) Overholser of Troy, Teresa (Charles) Brown of Troy, and Judy (Raymond) Bond of Piqua; two sons: Mark Fox of Troy and George Thomas “Tom” Fox, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL; 12 grandchildren: Nichole Cavender of Virginia, Jeremy Cavender of Troy, Eric Overholser of Tipp City, Adam (Katie) Fox of Ludlow Falls, Allison Fox of Arcanum, Christina Shafer of Troy, Amy (Erik) Cramer of Troy, Levi (Emily) Fox of Troy, Tyler (Katie) Fox of Columbus, Cody Fox of St. Louis, MO, Rachel (Nathan) Christian of Piqua, and Amber Millet of Piqua; seven great-grandchildren: Brooke Shafer, Taylor Shafer, Arlo Fox, Barrett Fox, Mollei Gilbert, Norah Gilbert, and Nash Gilbert; sister Patsy Elliot of Troy; daughter-in-law Danita Fox of West Milton; as well as three sisters-in-law: Joyce Kerrigan of Middletown, Linda Kerrigan of Piqua, and Pat Fox of Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband George Thomas “Tom” Fox, Sr. on May 13, 2003; as well as her son Russell Fox.
Janet was a 1952 graduate of Piqua Catholic High School and was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Troy. She was a former member of Amvets Auxiliary Post 88 in Troy. She loved to play BINGO and help with the Giving Tree at St. Pats.
A funeral service will be held 10:00AM Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy with Fr. Eugene Vonderhaar officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00PM-7:00PM Friday, April 13 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Miami Memorial Park, Covington. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
