JoAnn Kinder of Piqua, aged 67, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2018, at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton. She was born August 20, 1950 in Sidney to the late Wesley and Dorothy (Koons) Burnham.
JoAnn is survived by her husband Larry Kinder whom she married April 22, 1972; son Nicholas (Christopher Lyon) Kinder of Portland, OR; daughter Christina (Christopher) Boes of Wellington, CO; grandchildren Gabriel and Renee Boes; as well as brother Paul Burnham of Piqua.
She was preceded in death by her brothers Mark and John Burnham.
JoAnn was a graduate of Holy Angels High School in Sidney and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in St. Paris. She was also a member of Cove Springs Grange in Troy.
JoAnn had an adventurous and creative spirit. She loved traveling with her husband and brother, scouring cookbooks for novel recipes, and trying her hand at whatever craft idea came to mind. She was generous with her affection and wisdom which she shared during late-night talks from her rocking chair, with laughter while baking Christmas cookies, and in many a sweet “I love you."
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memoriam to Imagination Library and The Family Abuse Shelter of Miami County.
