Johnny Dale Williamson

Johnny Dale Williamson, age 60 of Bowling Green, KY, formerly of Troy, passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at Bowling Green Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. He was born November 21, 1957 in Huntington, WV to John S. Williamson and Janice Mays Thompson.

Johnny is survived by his father, John who resides in Huntington, WV; wife of 27 years Marena (Blankenship) Williamson; daughter Sheena (Aaron) Ellison of Troy; two sons: Keenan Lewis of Troy and Sgt. Zane F. Lewis of South Africa; two grandchildren: Zayden and Riley; as well as two sisters: Jovanna Meeks of Kenova, WV and Krissie Williamson of Huntington, WV.

He was preceded in death by his mother Janice, as well as granddaughter Arianna.

Johnny was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War, having served a total of 14 years. He was a 1976 graduate of Buffalo High School in Wayne County, WV and worked for Orkin Pest Control in Bowling Green, KY where he was Branch Manager.

A funeral service will be held 1:00PM Monday, June 25, 2018 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy with Johnny’s uncle, Pastor Ivory Williamson officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00PM-1:00PM at the funeral home prior to the service. Interment will follow in Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery with military honors at the graveside by the Veteran’s Memorial Honor Guard of Troy. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
