Laurel Helen Bolls, age 54 of Troy, passed away Friday, January 18, 2019 at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy. She was born December 5, 1964 in Springfield to Nathan Bolls, Jr. and Imogene (Lamb) Bolls.
Laurel is survived by her father Nathan Bolls, Jr. of Manhattan, KS; uncles Donald Lamb (Linda Gilkerson) of Chicago, IL; Frederick Lamb (Susan) of Urbana, IL; and Earl Bolls of Chamberlain, SD; as well as aunt Anna Stephenson (Jack) of Smithville, MO; and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother Imogene (Lamb) Bolls.
Laurel attended Springfield North High School. She attended Ginghamsburg United Methodist Church in Tipp City and was a member of High St. United Methodist Church in Springfield. She loved singing, dancing, and traveling. She was an avid reader, and enjoyed creative writing, English literature, history, and geography. She also loved horseback riding. During her youth, Laurel traveled widely with her parents throughout the United States and Western Europe, and into both Canada and Mexico.
All who knew her will attest to Laurel, even throughout her long illness, as a loving and compassionate person.
A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, January 20, 2019 at Ginghamsburg Ark Church- South Campus with Pastor Virgil Gallagher officiating. Friends and family may gather in the Ark Church following the service. Interment will take place later in the spring at Sunset Cemetery in Manhattan, KS.
