Martha Stenross Loufman, age 99 of Troy, passed away Thursday, May 18, 2017 in the Hospice Unit of Upper Valley Medical Center. She was born May 13, 1918 in Ashtabula to the late G. Edward and Katharine (Lakari) Stenross.

Martha is survived by son and daughter-in-law Jonathan and Rita Loufman of Troy, daughter Kathryn Loufman of Tampa, FL, daughter and son-in-law Dianne Loufman and Erik Heen of Duluth, MN, grandchildren, Nathan Berry of GA, Jennifer (Ben) Bowman of FL, Emily Berry of TX, Kai Heen of MN, and Per Loufman of Philadelphia, PA, great-granddaughters, Madison and Charlotte, stepgrandchildren, Theresa Applegate, Christina Vennemeier, Antoinette Deardoff, and Thomas Sedam, step great-grandchildren, Alex and Andrew Applegate, Kyle and Kara Vennemeier, and Dylan and Kristin Sedam.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Luke L. Loufman in 2004, grandson Bjorn Loufman, sister “Margie” Jones, and brothers Charles and Jacob Stenross.

Martha was a 1936 graduate of Ashtabula High School and was a member of First Lutheran Church in Troy. She loved gardening, animals, Ohio State, and Cleveland sports teams.

A private graveside service will be held in Riverside Cemetery, Troy with her daughter, Pastor Dianne Loufman officiating. Memorial contributions may be given to: Hospice of Miami County PO Box 502, Troy, OH 45373.Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
