Melissa M. Cruikshank, age 68 of Piqua, passed away Sunday, June 11, 2017 at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton. She was born January 25, 1949 in Bellaire to the late Arthur and Audrey (Greenlee) Cook.

Melissa is survived by daughter Julie Jenkins of Piqua; two step-daughters and step-sons-in-law: Vickie and Deke Napier of Troy, and Teresa and Chris Decker of Piqua; seven grandchildren: Robert Dallas Jenkins, Dalton Jenkins, Destin Jenkins, Angelica Jenkins, Kelsey Jenkins, Nichole Frantom, and Matthew Napier; two great-grandchildren: Bailey Meadows and Dallas Jenkins; three brothers: Roger Cook of SC, John Cook of OK, and Arthur Cook of Kent; two sisters: Kathy Roush of WV and Rosalinda Fergerson of Piqua.

She was preceded in death by sister Phyllis Broyles.

Melissa enjoyed bingo and crossword puzzles. She retired in 2006 from BF Goodrich in Troy after 38 years of service as a Machine Operator.

A funeral service will be held 11:00AM Monday, June 26, 2017 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home with Pastor Linda Spicer officiating. Visitation will be 10:00AM-11:00AM at the funeral home prior to the service. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Piqua. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
