Robert L. Heidenreich, age 81 of Troy, passed away peacefully at home on December 11, 2017. He was born in Dayton to the late Ollie and Crescentia (Hilgeford) Heidenreich on September 29, 1936.

He was a beloved husband to Madonna Sue (Fairchild) Heidenreich; devoted father of Christopher D. (Lisa) of Versailles, Gretchen L. Kowalak of Troy, Erich J. (Chrisy) of Sidney, Craig R. (Kellie) of Piqua, and Gabriele S. Chesko (Jason) of Troy; dear brother of Sharon (Bill) Fitzpatrick of Piqua and Bill (Maryann) Heidenreich of Dayton; also survived by 17 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

He graduated from Chaminade High School in 1952. He then went on to attend the University of Dayton, graduating in 1959 with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration. Upon graduating from college, he began working for Huber Homes, building and selling homes. His passion for building grew, and he eventually left Huber Homes and started Cameo Construction and Heidenreich Investments, where he became an icon in the Dayton Real Estate market. During his career, he was an active member of the Miami County Homebuilders Association and eventually became president.  Robert was also a member of the Troy Eagles, Troy Moose, Troy Elks #833, and Troy Fish and Game. He enjoyed spending his time away from building houses and developing neighborhoods by watching old westerns, fishing, boating, and enjoying the company of his loving wife, children, and grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00AM Friday, December 15, 2017 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Troy with Fr. Michael Samala as Celebrant. Visitation will be held from 5:00PM-8:00PM Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy. Interment will be in Casstown Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
