Ruth Kathleen Griffin, age 92 of Tipp City, formerly of Christiansburg, passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Springmeade Health Center, Tipp City. She was born July 6, 1925 in Troy to the late John R. and Edith M. (Mumford) Young.

Kathleen is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law: Cindy and Richard Shepherd of Troy and Marilee and Scott Lyman of The Villages, FL.

She was preceded in death by her husband Wenzel B. Griffin, who passed away on January 31, 2004; son Robert B. Griffin; grandson Zack B. Lyman; and brother and sister-in-law Jack and Katheryn Young.

Kathleen was a graduate of Lost Creek High School and was a 73-year member of the Olivet #538 Chapter O.E.S. in Christiansburg. She was also a member of Christiansburg United Methodist Church.

A funeral service will be held 2:30PM Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy with Pastor Bill Davis officiating. An O.E.S. service will take place at 2:15PM. Visitation will be 12:30PM-2:30PM prior to the funeral service. Interment will be in Casstown Cemetery.
