Sylvia E Steinbrugge

Sylvia E. Steinbrugge, age 71 of Troy, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at her daughter’s home. She was born June 13, 1946 in Rockland, ME.

Sylvia is survived by her loving husband Lonnie N. Steinbrugge, son William E. Smith, III and his wife Tracey Smith of Troy; daughter Stacy Smith of New Lebanon; six grandchildren: William E. Smith, IV, Andrew P. Smith, Alex T. Vandenhuevel, Erik Vandenhuevel, Sydney J. Brock, and Steven A. Brock; as well as best friend Gail Lee of Troy.

She was preceded in death by her parents Earl and Imogene Pleasant.

Sylvia was an avid animal lover, and she was a groomer for 59 years. She showed and bred toy poodles and even owned her own grooming salon, Sylons Toy Poodles. She was also a skilled artist and painter who loved flowers and all of nature. Sylvia was the purest heart you’d ever meet and she will be dearly missed.

A funeral service will be held 11:00AM Monday, June 4, 2018 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy with Pastor David Thomasson officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00AM-11:00AM at the funeral home prior to the service. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Troy. Memorial donations may be given to your local American Cancer Society or American Breast Cancer Foundation. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
