William Mark "Bill" Thomas

William Mark “Bill” Thomas, Jr., age 50 of Troy, passed away Thursday, September 5, 2019. He was born February 27, 1969 in Troy to William Mark Thomas, Sr. of Tennessee and Mary Jane Grilliot of Troy.

Along with his parents, Bill is survived by his wife Shannon (King) Thomas; girlfriend Rhonda Miller; daughters Alexia “Lexi” Thomas of Troy and Melanie Thomas of Troy; sons Brendan Thomas of Troy, Aidyn Thomas of Troy and Taylor Thomas of Troy; grandson Abel Hill; brother Bryan Akers of Celina and half-brother Ben Thomas of Louisville, KY; aunts and uncles Leo Grilliot, Mary Meeker, Michele (Grilliot) Smith, Marc Grilliot, Dennis Grilliot, Jeff Grilliot and Nancy Grilliot.  

He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents Ralph and Jeanne Grilliot, paternal grandparents William H. and Pauline Thomas, as well as aunts Marsha and Karen Thomas. 

Bill was a member of the Koinos Christian Fellowship Church in Troy and worked for M&M Roofing in Bradford. Family was the most important thing to him. He loved spending time with them and looked forward to holidays with them. He especially loved the quality time with his grandson Abel. He enjoyed everything from videogames and bonfires to football and music. He also enjoyed playing the boardgame Axis and Allies.

A funeral service will be held 1:00PM Monday, September 9, 2019 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy with Pastor Johnathan Newman officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00PM-1:00PM at the funeral home prior to the service. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Troy. A Celebration of Life will be held at the shelter of Troy City Park (brick building) following interment.
