Yvette Jacqueline (Pirot) Allen, age 90 of Troy, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Genesis Care, Troy. She was born January 14, 1928 in Chalons-sur-Marne, France to the late Marc and Alice (Bradier) Pirot.
Yvette is survived by her four children: Wanda (Scott) Zirkle of Troy, Christie (Joel) Stewart of Larkspur, CA, Laura (Thomas) Bell of Piqua, and Don (Junko) Allen of Dublin; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Donahue Allen in December 2010; as well as sister Jeanne (Pirot) Grilliot, and brother Jacque Pirot.
Yvette was a member of the Transfiguration Catholic Church in West Milton and most recently St. Patrick Catholic Church in Troy. She was also a member of the YWCA International Club in Piqua, where she assisted the members in learning the French language. Yvette was a seamstress at the former Lynn Webb Dance Studio in Troy. She and her husband owned the Allen Vending Company in Troy for over 40 years, and she retired as a sales clerk from JC Penney in Piqua. Most of all, Yvette enjoyed the time she spent with her family, especially around the holidays.
A memorial mass will be held 11:00AM Friday, April 13, 2018 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Troy with Fr. Eric Bowman officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00PM-7:00PM on Thursday, April 12 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Troy. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami Valley: 46 N. Detroit St. Xenia, OH 45385. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
