Aiden Ray Carroll, 10, of Troy, passed away 12:25 p.m. Sunday, March 23, 2014 in the Emergency Room at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy. He was born in Westerville on October 4, 2003 to Robert W. Carroll, Jr. and Katherine Hammond. He was preceded in death by his mother, Katherine, in 2009, and his father, Robert, survives.

Aiden is also survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Christopher and Whitney Stiver and his family of Sidney; one sister, Makenna Carroll of Troy; paternal grandparents, Mark and Shirley McClain of Sidney; maternal grandparents, Joe and Cathy of Zanesville; maternal great-grandfather, Bill Huffman and his family of Marysville; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins survive. He was also preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Robert Carroll, Sr.; and maternal grandparents, Melody and Dick Hammond.

Aiden was a 4th grade student at Heywood School, Troy. He loved to pick on his sister, loved to read and play with his friends, Jalen, Ezra, Isaac, and his cousin, Reece.

A funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 27, 2014 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy with Pastor Joe Hill officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Troy.
