Ameliya Jean Smith-McCoy, 2 month infant daughter of Nicholis McCoy and Desiree Beard of Piqua, passed away unexpectedly Friday, February 13, 2015 at Dayton Children's Hospital, Dayton. She was born in Sidney on November 30, 2014. She is survived by her parents Nicholis McCoy and Desiree Beard of Piqua.

Ameliya is also survived by maternal grandparents Bonnie Goff of Pemberton, OH, Mark and Bev Beard of Pasco, OH; maternal great grandparents, Fay Goff of Pemberton, OH, Nancy Beard of Sidney, Mark and Ann Stringfield of Sidney; paternal grandparents Chris and Latasha Smith of Piqua, Kelly and Steve Lear of Covington; paternal great grandmothers, Karen Johnson of Piqua, Evon Robinson of Troy, Beth McCoy of Piqua; and also surviving are a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by maternal great grandfather, James Goff; maternal great grandmother, Ruth Beard; paternal great grandfather, Robert McCoy; paternal great grandmother Gloria McCoy; and paternal great great grandmother, Christine White.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 19, 2015 at True Vine Church, 531 W. Ash St., Piqua, Ohio with Pastor John Scott officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Troy.
