Barbara Ann McFarland, age 78 of Pleasant Hill, passed away 9:40PM Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at her residence. She was born August 15, 1946, in Pikeville, KY to the late Henry and Greties (Chapman) Bostic.

She was preceded in death by her husband Garrie McFarland on August 23, 2022, as well as her son Willard McCoy and first husband, William Edgar McCoy, Sr.

Those left to cherish Barbara's memory include her children William Edward McCoy (Tammy Chandler) of Piqua, Michael Sowers of Troy, Michael Barnes of Troy, James Brown of St. Mary's, and Susan Watkins of Sidney; grandchildren Tommy (Alexandria) McCoy, Kevin Denman, Kylie Harvey, Brian Fitch, and Britney Fitch as well as 9 great-grandchildren, her significant other, Larry Arseneau of Ludlow Falls, and daughter-in-law Kristina McCoy of Troy. She will also be greatly missed by her pets, Lilly Bell and Sylvester.

Barbara enjoyed painting, crafting, flower gardening and working at several nursing homes. She was a graduate of Belfry High School, Kentucky.

A funeral service will be held 3:00PM Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy with Pastor Rick Mowry officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00PM-3:00PM at the funeral home. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
