Betty Jo Niles, age 90 of Troy, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at Kettering Health- Dayton. She was born April 3, 1935 in Milton, WV to the late Alex and Thelma (McKinney) Casey.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years Von K. Niles, who passed away July 12, 2016; son Von K. Niles, Jr.; daughter Cindy Niles; and seven siblings.

Those left to cherish Betty’s memory include her son Tony (Gail) Niles of Troy; daughters Pamela Niles of Troy and Susan Niles of Troy; grandchildren: Ian (Julia) Niles, Matthew Shanley, Tim (Jackie) Kirtley, James Lloyd, and Amy Gawronski, and seven great-grandchildren; as well as siblings Tom (Mary) Casey of West Milton, Jim Casey of Troy, and Connie (Dennis) Heckman of Tipp City.

Betty was a Piqua High School graduate and retired with Hobart Brothers after many years of service. She was known for her southern style cooking, but she excelled in all types of cuisine. She was a game show fanatic who loved watching The Game Show Network and enjoyed her puzzles and word jumbles. Betty adored her family and cherished the time she could spend with them. She will be dearly missed by them all.

A graveside memorial service will be held at a later date at Riverside Cemetery, Troy. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
