Carla Jones Ellis, age 74 of Fairborn, OH, formerly of Troy, passed away on Monday, September 6, 2021 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, OH. She was born in Harrisburg, IL on June 15, 1947 to the late Val and Lillian (nee Horn) Jones.

Those left to cherish Carla's memory include her loving husband Gary Ellis; children, Jeff (Lisa) Parsons of Troy, Shelly (Cliff) Sowards of Troy, Gregory (Stephanie) Ellis of West Layfette, IN, Lukas Ficklin of Alaska and Lauren Ellis of Alaska; grandchildren, Andrew (Ashlyn) Sowards of Wichita, KS, Tyler (Kelly) Sowards of Troy, Brandon Parsons of Troy, Zachrey Parsons of Troy, Austin Parsons of South Carolina, Tristen Parsons of Troy, Ashlyn (Tristyn) Emilson of Wast Layfette, IN, Alyson Ellis of West Layfette, IN, Ariana (Logan) Crabtree of West Layfette, IN, Olivia Steinke-Ellis of New Carlisle, OH, George Bassett of San Antonio, TX, Gabriella Ellis of West Layfette, IN and Gavin Ellis of West Layfette, IN; great grandchildren, April McAlister (Sowards), Raeliyn Dore (Sowards) and Jacob Sowards; siblings, Cindy (Craig) Consani of Tipp City, OH, Mike Jones of Troy and Marsha (Trap) Traphagan; and many nieces and nephews.

Carla graduated from Ben Davis High School in Indiana. She belonged to Calvary Open Bible Church in Dayton, OH and to the Fairborn Flying Aces Radio Control Club with her husband. She loved watching tv, sitting outside watching her dog, traveling, gambling, going to the beach, being a homemaker, and most importantly her family. She was a beloved and devoted daughter, wife, mother, sister and grandmother.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, September 10, 2021 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy with Pastor Dan Powell officiating. A visitation will take place prior from 10-11:30 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Troy. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
