Carla Denise Mayer, age 64 of Dayton, passed away Friday, September 6, 2019 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born October 24, 1954 in Troy to the late Harold and Delores (Henderson) Ward.

Carla is survived by her husband M.J. "Al" Mayer, II whom she married May 25, 1985, as well as two daughters, Adrianne O'Neal (Aaron) of Dayton and Kelly Mayer of Seattle, WA, and grandson Aiden O'Neal.

She was preceded in death by brother Dale Ward and sister Marilyn Hughes.

Carla was a Tippecanoe High School graduate and had been a member of Troy Church of the Brethren. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed cooking. She had previously worked for Harborside in Troy as an Office Administrator.

A memorial service will be held 3:00PM Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy. Visitation will be from 2:00PM-3:00PM at the funeral home prior to the service.
