Carol L. Byrkett passed away at 4:45pm on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at Koester Pavilion, Troy OH.

She was predeceased by her parents, Lawrence E. Bretland and Alma Coble and her brother, Lawrence (Sonny) Bretland.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter Jennifer Williams, son Anthony (Samantha) Byrkett, grandchildren Jessica Williams, Kasey Williams, Morgan Williams, Alec Byrkett and Nicole Wright, great-grandchildren, Kelyn, Dominic, Finley, Callie, Mumford and Lennox, sisters Judith Hemmert, Troy, Doris Shepherd, Liberty Township and brother Robert Bretland, Monroe.

Carol graduated from Troy High School and retired as a secretary at Troy Sheriff's Department. She was a member of First United Church of Christ, Troy and volunteered at the Troy Senior Citizen Center.

Visitation will be at Fisher Cheney Funeral Home on Friday, June 2 from 12:30pm-1:30pm followed by a celebration of life at 1:30pm officiated by Pastor Lauren Allen of First United Church of Christ. Interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery, Troy.
