Christian "Chris" E. Spicer, 60, of 505 McKaig Ave., Troy, passed away 5:35 p.m. Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton. He was born in Sidney on June 11, 1953 to the late Alva P. and Martha (Klopfenstein) Spicer. He was married to Linda M. Carity on August 6, 1977, and she survives.

Chris is survived by his three children and their spouses, Angela and Todd Hillman of Loveland, Isaiah and Holly Spicer of Englewood, Katie Spicer at home; seven grandchildren, Tylor Hillman, Alec Hillman, Kristen Hillman, Natalee Hillman, Lydia Spicer, Constance Spicer, Michaela Spicer; and one brother, Byron Spicer of Troy.

Chris was a member of Living Hope Worship Center in Troy. He was a 1971 graduate of Troy High School and was a graduate of Rhema Bible Training College in Broken Arrow, OK. He was employed at Con Agra Foods in Troy after 20 years of service. He was a motorcycle riding enthusiast.

A funeral service will be held at 12 Noon Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy with Pastor Paul Pearson officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12 Noon Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service. Interment will be in Miami Memorial Park, Covington.
