Connie R. Rike, 71, of Troy passed away at 10:47 p.m. on Friday, January 31, 2014, at the home of her son, Ryan.  She was born May 28, 1942 in Troy to Sheldon Forrest Lang and Audrey Fern (Collins) Lang Kentner.  Her father preceded her in death along with one brother, Ron Lang.

Connie is survived by her mother, two sons and a daughter-in-law, Ryan C. and Deanna C. Rike of Troy and Derek Rike of Piqua; one brother and sister-in-law Byron and Sue Kentner of Dayton; and four grandchildren, Mason, Miranda, Riley, and Connor.

Connie was a graduate of Troy High School and attended Miami University.  She was retired from the adult division of Riverside of Miami County after 15 years.  She had previously worked for ITW/Hobart Brothers Company for 25 years.  Connie spent much time caring for her mother.  She loved her family, grandchildren and her dog Boe.  She enjoyed spending time with friends, fishing, sewing and making crafts and things for her grandchildren, gardening, planting flowers, and working in her home.

Funeral service will be held at on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, 1124 West Main Street, Troy with Dr. Richard Culp officiating.   Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 from 12:00 noon until the time of the service.  Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Troy at a later date.
