Cora M. Queen, 75, of Piqua, passed away 1:10 p.m. Sunday, August 25, 2013 at Lima Memorial Hospital in Lima. She was born in Culloden W. VA. on October 18, 1937 to the late Walter E. and Bertha Lee (Persinger) Larck.
Cora is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, David R. and Debbie Smith of Troy, Larry R. Smith of Piqua, Roger D. Queen of Piqua, and Walter F. and Sheryl Queen of Piqua; five daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy J. Smith of Piqua, Lena K. Pierce of Piqua, Thelma and David Matthews of Miamisburg, Cora Belle and Sonny Cromer of Piqua, and Julie M. Martin of Troy; twenty-three grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; three brothers, Harry F. Larck of Tipp City, James R. Larck of Troy, and Walter Dwaine Larck of Troy; two sisters-in-law, Ada Larck of Troy, Lora Larck of Tipp City; and one brother-in-law, Olen "Pete" Reynolds of Troy. She was preceded in death by one son, Daniel J. Stevens; one granddaughter, Brittney Elise Queen; five brothers, Robert E., Avey L., Charles E., Clinton "Louie", and Thomas N. Larck; two sisters, Minnie Bowman and Sandra Reynolds; one sister-in-law, Helen Larck; special friends, Ken and Juanita Bolin of Sidney, Shirley Barton of Piqua, Velma Ingle of Bradford and Lincoln and Shirley Robinson of Piqua.
Cora was a member of the Piqua Church of the Nazarene in Piqua. She was a former employee at Hartzell Veneer and a caregiver with Home Healthcare.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 31, 2013 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home with Pastor Lincoln Robinson officiating. Visitation will be held 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, August 30, 2013 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Highland Cemetery in Covington.
