David Bruce Fitzgerald, age 67 of Troy, passed away Friday, October 16, 2026 at Miami Valley Hospital- South Campus in Centerville. He was born February 8, 1959 in Yuba City, CA to the late Dorothy Fitzgerald.

David’s memory will be cherished by his daughters Tessa Harris (Jason Carver) of Troy and Misty Ayres of Huber Heights; grandchildren Ethan (Dakota), Derrick “DJ”, Izabella “Izzy”, Landon, Oaklynn, and Dennis “JJ”; brother Mike Fitzgerald of Marysville, CA; best friends Alex Travis of Troy and Warren Campoli of California; and numerous other good friends, especially his Redman buddies.

David was a simple guy with a big heart. He enjoyed cruising around in his car and loved the outdoors. Family was the most important aspect of David’s life, and he cherished the time he spent with his loved ones.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
