Donald Lee Adamson, age 88, passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at the Hospice Unit of Dayton V.A. Medical Center. He was born on January 9, 1934 in Dayton, OH to the late Thomas and Verda (nee Cooper) Adamson.

In addition to his parents, Donald is preceded in death by his loving wife Betty Adamson who passed away December 12, 2021; daughter, Rose Adamson; and his siblings.

Those left to cherish Donald's memory include his daughters, Robin (Russel) Wilson of Harveysburg, OH, Genell (Matthew) Smith of West Liberty, KY, and Sherry (John Keith) Evans of Troy; sons, Anthony Adamson of Ashland, KY, Robert (Cindy) Adamson of Ashville, NC, and Donald Adamson Jr. of Utah; and 14 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

Donald was a 20-year veteran of the United States Navy. He retired from working as a truck driver for many years at Friendly's. Donald enjoyed watching TV and being retired.

A graveside service will be at 11 AM on Monday, August 22, 2022 at Casstown Cemetery in Casstown, OH with Pastor Mike Jess officiating. A military service will be held by the Veterans Memorial Honor Guard of Troy. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice Unit of Dayton V.A. Medical Center, 4100 W. Third St. Dayton, OH 45428. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy, OH.
