Doris Caroline Lindsay, age 98 of Troy, passed away 3:45AM Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at Brookdale of Troy. She was born October 12, 1925 in Troy to the late Hugh Turner and Ethel (Lachey) Turner.

Doris married Charles Edward Lindsay on August 6, 1955 and he preceded her in death on January 10, 2013. She was also preceded in death by daughter Ann Christine Lindsay, sister Norma V. Williams, and brother Hugh W. Turner.

Those left to cherish Doris's memory include her two sons David (Colleen) Lindsay of Troy and Jonathan (Linda) Lindsay of Milford; stepdaughter Anita (Samuel) Towe of Brookville; five step grandchildren and 10 step great-grandchildren; and sister Helen (Lee) Hawkins of Springboro.

Doris was a member of First United Church of Christ in Troy and a 1943 graduate of Troy High School. She retired as a bookkeeper with BF Goodrich after 13 years.

A visitation will be held from 10:30AM-11:30AM Friday, October 4, 2024 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy. A graveside service will follow at Miami Memorial Park Cemetery, Covington with Pastor Don Crist with St. John's United Church of Christ, Troy officiating.
