Doris L. Lanzotti, 78, of Troy, passed away 6:05 p.m. Thursday, January 30, 2014 at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy. She was born in Apple Grove, West Virginia on September 22, 1935 to the late Robert and Hallie (Young) Plants. She was married to Paul A. Lanzotti on January 10, 1983, and he survives.

Doris is also survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Steven and Cheryl Lacey of Troy, Trent and Penny Lacey of Troy; one daughter, Janet Lacey of Taylor Mill, KY; four step-daughters and husbands, Anna and Terry Venrick of Greenville, Leslie and Scott Solomon of Ft. Worth, TX, Mary Lanzotti of Piqua, and Catherine Lanzotti of Raleigh, NC; four sisters and brother-in-law, Violet Chapman of Logan, Alma McConnell of Lorain, Emma Long of Apple Grove, WVA, and Dorothy and Roy Coleman of Troy; five brothers and sister-in-law, Walter Plants of Somerset, KY, Forrest Plants of Somerset, KY, James and Marsha Plants of Apple Grove, WVA, Larry Plants of Troy, and Noah Plants of Apple Grove, WVA; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandson. She was also preceded in death by one daughter-in-law, Jeanne Lacey; two brothers, Charles and George Plants; and one sister, Mabel Anderson.

Doris was a member of the Troy Eagles #971 Auxiliary. She enjoyed her trips to Gatlinburg, TN and she was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

A private graveside service will be held with Pastor Chris Heiss officiating. There will be no public visitation. Interment will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Tipp City. Arrangements are entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
