Elbert Sonny Feltner, age 82, of Troy, passed away Friday, February 16, 2018 at his residence.  He was born October 5, 1935 in Hazard, Kentucky to the late Woodson and Morphy (Campbell) Feltner.  He married Peggy Y. Miller on August 27, 1953 and she survives.

Elbert is also survived by five sons and one daughter-in-law, all of Troy including J.R. Feltner; Stanley Feltner; Timothy and Ellen Feltner; Glynn Feltner, and Eugene Feltner; three daughters and sons-in-law of Troy including Patricia and Terry Chaney; Sandra and Fred Ellis; and Mandy Feltner; 17 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one daughter-in-law, Joyce Feltner; one grandson Christopher Feltner; four brothers and three sisters.

Elbert was member of the Apostolic Church in Troy, Troy Fish and Game, Amvets Post 88, and Troy Eagles #971.  He along with Peggy owned the former Feltner's Trading Post in Troy and he was employed by BF Goodrich in Troy for 26 years.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy with Pastors Clarence Stafford and Paul Napier officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at the funeral home. Eagles Lodge Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery.  Following the interment, a Celebration of Life will be held at Troy Fish and Game Club.  Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of the Miami Valley, 46 North Detroit St., Xenia, OH 45385.
