Elizabeth L. "Betty" McMaken-Murphy, age 85 of Troy, passed away Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Koester Pavilion. She was born May 25, 1932 in Troy to the late John A. and Norma C. (Goetz) McMaken.

Betty is survived by her husband of 65 years William C. Murphy of Troy. She was preceded in death by brother Robert L. McMaken.

She was a 1950 graduate of Troy High School and a member of St. Patrick Church in Troy. She and her husband were co-owners of the former Murphy Pontiac Inc. from 1966-1986. Betty's only job was with US Bank in Troy, where she had worked for 38 years.
