Elizabeth Ann Patten, 77, of Troy, passed away 6:15 a.m. Sunday, January 19, 2014 at her residence. She was born in Whitesville, Kentucky on January 19, 1937 to the late James W. and Madeline (Powell) Norris. She was married to Joseph G. Patten on September 8, 1956, and he survives.
Ann is also survived by her two loving cats, Lucky and Kitty; one sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Willis Friend of Tipp City; two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, John and Billie Patten of Troy, Paul and Marianne Patten of Troy; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, John and Don Norris.
Ann was a 1955 graduate of Bethel High School. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Troy. She was a retired secretary from NCR in Dayton after 27 years of service. She loved playing bingo and going shopping with her sister. She also loved working in her yard and feeding the birds.
A funeral service will be held 12 Noon Friday, January 24, 2014 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy with Rev. Dr. Richard Culp officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home two hours prior to the service. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Troy.
