Elmer G. Farris, age 77 of Franklin, formerly of Laura, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2016. He was born April 30, 1938 in LaFollette, TN to the late Laskey and Lizza (Clouse) Farris.

He is survived by sons and daughter-in-law Robert and Ladean Farris of Franklin; Michael Farris of Piqua and Ralph Farris of Oak Hill, WV.; as well as daughter Kimberly Farris of San Antonio, TX and companion Virgie Farris of Troy. Nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren also survive.

He is preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

Elmer worked and retired from Dinner Bell Meat Packing in Troy after 35 years of service in the truck maintenance department. He was a former member of the Ohio Music Association.

A memorial service will be held 12:30PM Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Piqua Church of the Brethren with Pastor Larry Lutz officiating. Friends may call at the church from 11AM-12:30 PM. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
