Esther Mae Bowers, age 88 of Troy, passed away Tuesday February 2, 2016 at Piqua Manor Nursing Home. She was born June 30, 1927 in Montgomery County, Ohio to the late Floyd and Irma (Wilson) Pullins.

Surviving is son Daniel Bowers of Eaton, and son and daughter-in-law Gail and Teresa Bowers of Troy, as well as grandson Nathan (Kelsey) Bowers of Columbus. Other survivors include sister and brother-in-law Betty and Victor Hull of Dothan, Alabama.

Preceding Esther in death is her beloved husband of 65 years Myron Bowers, who passed away January 17, 2014. Also preceding her in death are three brothers: Robert, Ralph, and Floyd Pullins, as well as three sisters: Geneva Pullins, Gladys (Pullins) Shawver, and Loretta Pullins.

A 1946 graduate of Elizabeth Township High School, Esther worked as a nursing home administrator at the Villa Convalescent Center in Troy and attended Brandt Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tipp City.

A funeral service will be held 11AM Friday February 5, 2016 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy with Pastor David Jarvis-Schroeder and David Potter officiating. Friends may call two hours prior at the funeral home. Interment at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami County or Brandt Evangelical Lutheran Church 6870 US Route 40 Tipp City Ohio 45371.
