Esther Sinclair, age 86 of Troy, passed away on Monday, April 4, 2022 at her home surrounded by her daughters. She was born on March 30, 1936 in New Carlisle, OH to the late Robert and Nettie (nee Flory) Artz.

In addition to her parents, Esther is preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, who she married on July 15, 1955, Lowell A. Sinclair; her daughter Stephanie Mertz; 11 siblings; and many brothers and sisters-in-law.

Those left to cherish Esther's memory include her daughters Cindy Adams (Jim) of Prescott, AZ, Loretta Bergren (Bruce) of Munster, IN, and Yvonne "Vonnie" Boyer (Jeff) of Troy; honorary son Paul "PC" Compliment (Marion) of Tipp City; grandchildren Jessica Low (Nate), Timothy Lowell Sinclair, Michelle Mertz, Nicole Mertz, Traci Golebeawx, Julia Conard, Misty Cotton (Howard), Cody Conard, Jodi Perry (Joe), Bobby Bergren (Kristen), and Taylor VonDuhn (Louie); great-grandchildren Jason, Lexi, Wesley, Erik, Raelee, and Brody; brother-in-law, Donald Shellabarger; sister-in-law Kay Artz; and all of her nieces, nephews, and good friends who were there to comfort her.

Esther graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1954. She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her dear friends Karen Wheat and Lolita Zeller. Esther was a member of AmVets Post #88 in Troy and will miss all of her dear friends there.

The family would like to thank all the dedicated staff at Ohio's Hospice of Miami County, especially her nurse Jenni and PCS Sonya who helped provide care for her on her final journey. A special thank you to Debbie (Betsy) who loved and cared for Esther in home.

A memorial service will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home with Rob Williams officiating. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 11 AM- 1 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Ohio's Hospice of Miami County, 3230 N. County Rd. 25 A, Troy, OH 45373.
