Franklin D. Jones III, of Troy, passed away 2:15 a.m. Sunday, December 29, 2013. He was born in Dayton on June 19, 1983 to Franklin D. Jones II and Alma Shutt, and they both survive.

Franklin is also survived by his son, Franklin D. Jones IV of Troy; and two brothers, Isaiah Jones of Dayton, and Nicholas Jones of Troy.

Franklin liked race cars, building cars, and hanging out with his friends.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 3, 2014 at Riverside Cemetery Chapel, Troy with Rev. Dr. Charles Carnes officiating. Family and friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. one hour prior to the service.
