Freida M. Iddings, 86, of Troy, passed away 10:55 a.m. Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Troy Care Center, Troy. She was born in New Carlisle on October 17, 1927 to the late Raymond D. and Bessie (Vandeveer) Davidson. She was married to Willard Iddings, and later Preston Lewis, and then William Iddings, and all three preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her long time companion, Hobart Collett.

Freida is survived by four sons and daughter-in-law, Terry and Debbie Iddings of Troy, Gary Iddings of Troy, David Iddings of Troy, Norman Iddings of Fayetteville, NC; one daughter, Tina Curtis of Jacksonville, FL; nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Ida and Richard Ketcham of Lancaster, CA; and one brother and sister-in-law, Melville and Alice Davidson of New Carlisle. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Glendon and Frank Davidson.

Freida was a member of the Casstown United Methodist Church, Casstown. She was a graduate of Northwestern High School. She worked for the former Huntsman Container in Troy. She was a former member of Miami County Moose Lodge and AMVETS Post #88, both of Troy.

A memorial service will be held 4:00 p.m. Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Casstown United Methodist Church, Casstown with Pastor Maggie Sykes officiating. Interment will be in Miami Memorial Park, Covington at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
