Garie Lee McFarland, age 76 of Ludlow Falls, passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at Koester Pavilion in Troy. He was born April 9, 1946 in Carter, KY to the late Luther and Ineze (Messer) McFarland.

He was preceded in death by his stepson Thomas McCoy.

Garie is survived by his wife Barbara McFarland of Ludlow Falls; sons Gerald McFarland of Galion and Kent McFarland of Columbus; daughter Monica McFarland of Cleveland; stepson William "Willie" McCoy (Tammy) of Piqua; daughter-in-law Krissy McCoy of Troy; one grandchild, four step grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and six step great-grandchildren; brothers Carlas McFarland (Dona) of Troy, Ray McFarland of Troy, and Ronald McFarland of New Carlisle; sisters Debra McFarland of Troy, Teresa Tubbs (Dennis) of Troy, and Robin Alexander (Loyd) of New Carlisle.

Garie was a 1967 graduate of Troy High School and a member of Mid County Church of Christ in Troy. He was a factory worker for over 10 years at Hobart Brothers. Garie was also a volunteer firefighter for many years in New Carlisle. He loved the outdoors and was an avid bow hunter and fisherman. He was also heavily involved in archery.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
