Obituary

Gary Lee Ryman, age 79 of Troy, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2022 at StoryPoint, Troy. He was born February 8, 1943 in Troy to the late J. Wayne and N. Margarita (Hufford) Ryman.

Along with his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his brothers Larry and Arlan Ryman.

Those left to cherish Gary's memory include his wife Cynthia (Stump) Ryman, whom he married January 13, 1968; three sons: John Ryman (Carla) of Casstown, Mark Ryman of Seattle, WA, and Joe Ryman of Piqua; five grandchildren: Zachary Ryman (Rachael), Gabrielle Lutz (Bryan), Estelle Ryman, Scarlett Ryman, and Brooke Burrell (Jared); as well as great-grandchildren Nola Ryman and Exodus Burrell.

Gary was a 1961 graduate of Troy High School. He enjoyed working in his yard and loved to bowl. He was a member of several traveling bowling leagues. Gary worked for 46 years at the Hobart Bros. Motor Generator Division in customer service.

A funeral service will be held 11:30AM Friday, November 25, 2022 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy with Rev. Maureen Clark officiating. Visitation will be from 10:30AM-11:30AM at the funeral home Interment will follow in Casstown Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given to Hospice of Miami County. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home.
