Geno Lee Staten, age 55 of Troy, passed away Monday, April 22, 2024 in Dayton. He was born November 11, 1968 in Dayton to Roy Staten, Jr. and JoAnn (Pacheco) Howard.

Geno was preceded in death by his father Roy Staten, Jr. on August 1, 2023; his brother Roy "Jake" Staten, III on October 8, 2018; and niece Jessica Staten on May 11, 2021.

Those left to cherish Geno's memory include his mother JoAnn (John) Howard of Troy; his children Brooke, Dustin, and Bryce Staten, all of Troy; brother Denver "Denny" Jack Staten of Troy and sister Jody Lynn Staten of Dayton; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Geno was a hard working man and a skilled handyman. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed golfing and racing cars. He was employed with Ben's Construction in Troy.

A funeral service will be held 3:00PM Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy with Rev. Jack Barnes officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00PM-3:00PM prior to the service.  Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
