Harold Norwood Hughes, age 77 of Troy, passed away Monday, January 26, 2026 at Kettering Health-Troy. He was born November 30,1948 in Troy to the late James Hughes and Juanita (Abrams) Hughes.

Along with his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his wives Marilyn Ward Hughes and Vicki Hughes; son Darrin Lewis; sister Lucretia Hughes; and brother Roger Hughes.

Those left to cherish Harold’s memory include his wife Laurie Hughes; daughters Dawn Lewis and Tionda (Scott) Hughes; sons Jeremy Hughes and Chris Hughes; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild; sister Diane Coble; son-in-law James Scott; daughter-in-law Olivia Hughes; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Harold was a 1966 graduate of Troy High School and a member of Only Believe Ministries. He was a youth counselor for Lincoln Community Center in Troy.

A funeral service will be held 2:00PM Monday, February 2, 2026 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy with Pastor Kylan Booser officiating. Visitation will be 12:00PM-2:00PM prior to the service. Friends and family are welcome from 4:00PM-7:00PM for a celebration of life at the Lincoln Community Center: 110 Ash St. Troy. Private interment will take place in Riverside Cemetery, Troy. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
