Irvin R. Brown, age 92 of Sidney, formerly of Troy, passed away Monday, October 31, 2016 at Dorothy Love Nursing Home in Sidney. He was born April 15, 1924 in Troy to the late Harry and Mary (Underwood) Brown.

Irvin married Elma M. (Lamka) Brown on June 1, 1946 and she survives in Sidney. Other survivors include son Steven Brown of Evanston, IL; two grandchildren: Zachary Brown and Kathryn Brown; as well as two sisters: Barbara Small of Orlando, FL, and Sandra Drake of Troy. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Irvin was a US Air Force Veteran of WWII. He was a life member of VFW Post #5436 in Troy, 406th Fighter Group Association, Ninth Air Force Association, AARP, and Troy Senior Citizens. He retired as a Foreman from Brown-Bridge Kimberly Clark in Troy.

Private services will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2016 with Chaplain Larry Oberdorf, Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Troy.
