James Clifton Crowell, Sr. age 89 of Troy, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2020 in the Hospice Unit of Upper Valley Medical Center. He was born November 30, 1930 in St. Joe, IN to the late George and Hilda (Koch) Crowell.

James is survived by his daughter Mitzi Copas of Troy; son James Clifton "Jim" Crowell, Jr. of Troy; granddaughters Deniece, Angie, Jamie, and Ashli, as well as seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by brother Jack Crowell.

James was a US Marine Corps. veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was an airplane enthusiast and even had his commercial piolet's license. He was a member of the Upper Valley Fun Flyers in Piqua and the Barnstormers in Troy. He retired as a truck driver after over 45 years of service.
