James F. "Jim" Kirves, age 84 of Troy, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2017 at Kettering Medical Center. He was born April 8, 1933 in Dayton to the late Elwood and Dorothy (Stites) Kirves.

Jim is survived by his wife Mary K. (Widener) Kirves who he married on February 24, 1962; two sons: Kraig (wife Carol) Kirves of Dayton and Kyle (wife Joanne) Kirves of Longmont, CO; three grandchildren: Casey, Nathaniel, and Nora; three step grandchildren; seven step great-grandchildren; as well as many cousins, in-laws, and friends.

Jim was a US Navy Veteran and a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Troy. He was a lifetime resident of western Ohio, graduating from Chaminade High School in Dayton and the University of Dayton. He retired from GMAC after thirty-two years in the Sales Department.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be given to a charity of the giver's choice.  Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
