James Robert Keechle, age 68 of Troy, passed away 9:31PM on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at his residence. He was born October 3, 1954 in Xenia to the late Harry "Bud" and Evelyn (Crook) Keechle.

He was preceded in death by his brothers Harry "Sonny" Keechle and Michael Kline.

Those left to cherish James's memory include his son Shane (Tara) Keechle of Troy; grandchildren: Shannon (Nathan) Johnston of Beavercreek, Travis Keechle of Troy, and Joshua Keechle of Troy; siblings: Sandy Monroe of Medway, John (Patti) Keechle of Springfield, and Douglas (Debby) Keechle of New Carlisle. Special thank you to his ex-wife Cheryl Hogsten for taking care of James in his last weeks.

James worked for Melrose Spouting for many years and was a member of the Miami Valley Nova Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was a car enthusiast.

A funeral service will be held 6:00PM Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy with Pastor David Thomasson officiating. Visitation will be 4:00PM-6:00PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be held at a later date in Medway Cemetery. Contributions in James's memory may be given to Hospice of Miami County.
