James L. McCuistion, age 91 of Troy, passed away on his birthday, March 24, 2026 at Otterbein, Tipp City. He was born March 24, 1935 in Nashville, TN to the late Elmer and Annabell (Underwood) McCuistion.

James was preceded in death by his wife Othel (Murphy) McCuistion, who passed away July 19, 2009; son Derek McCuistion; and sisters Joyce Mowen and Betty Tuggle.

Those left to cherish James’s memory include his sons Tony (Linda) McCuistion of Troy, Mark (Christina) McCuistion of Troy, and Jeff (Heather) McCuistion of Troy; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; sister in-law Dyane Murphy of Columbus as well as daughter-in-law Shannon McCuistion of Covington.

James was a US Army veteran.

A funeral service will be held 11:00AM Monday, March 30, 2026 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy with Pastor Darin Bolden officiating. Visitation will be from 10:30AM-11:00PM prior to the service. Interment will follow in Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
