James Richard Roach, age 75 of Troy, passed away 10:18AM Monday, August 26, 2024 at Troy Care and Rehabilitation. He was born July 23, 1949 in Ironton, OH to the late Earl and Faye (Howell) Roach.

Along with his parents, James was preceded in death by his brother Michael Roach.

Those left to cherish James' memory include his wife Nicki Jo (Dunlavey) Roach, whom he married June 29, 1991; daughter Bonnie Jean Lynn (Mark) of Columbus; son Trent Eldon Roach (Kerry) of Casstown; sister Nancy Macy (James) of Casstown; brother Samuel Roach (Tina) of Troy; as well as grandchildren Christian Cox, Carson Mayer, Shelby North, and Sheena Roach, and great grandchildren Casey and Raelee North, and Sharon and Kinsley Delk.

James was a US Army veteran and attended First Baptist Church in Troy. He received his HVAC certification from ITT and received his associate's degree in business from Miami Jacobs. He retired with ITW where he worked for many years as a sheet metal experimental. James was a loyal member of several clubs in Troy including AmVets Post #88, American Legion #43, VFW #5436 where he also served as a trustee, Troy Fish and Game, Troy Eagles #971, and was a former member of the Veteran's Memorial Honor Guard of Troy.

A Celebration of Life will be held 1:30PM Saturday, September 7, 2024 at the VFW #5436, Troy with Pastor Dale Christian officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the Veteran's Memorial Honor Guard of Troy. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
