Janet Belle Harrison, age 86 of Troy, passed away Friday, October 4, 2024 at her residence. She was born March 7, 1938 in Troy to the late William and Grace (Mines) Hurley.

Janet was preceded in death by her son William Ricky Harrison and daughter Donna Horton, as well as sister Rosemary Hines and brothers Bruce Hurley and William Hurley, and grandchildren BJ Harrison and Xian Harrison.

Those left to cherish Janet's memory include her sons James Harrison Jr. (Terri) of Springfield, Keith Harrison (Rebecca) of Troy, and Thomas "Brian" Harrison of Piqua; 26 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren with 2 grandchildren on the way. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Janet was a member of the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ in Troy and a woman of strong faith. She knew the word of the Lord and would preach the gospel whenever she could. She had a righteous heart and a joyful personality; she didn't know a stranger. She worked for many years at the former St. Regis Paper Company in Troy.

A celebration of life will be held 10:00AM Saturday, October 12, 2024 at the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ, Troy with Pastor Charles Carnes officiating.
